Simulation Room

Welcome to the Simulation Room at Aster MIMS Kottakkal, located on the ground floor of the Woman and Children building. This facility is dedicated to providing hands-on training in essential life-saving medical procedures, including central line insertion (IJV and femoral), thoracocentesis, intraosseous (IO) access, peripheral IV line insertion, CPR, and intubation. The simulation room is open exclusively to resident doctors and staff of Aster MIMS Kottakkal, with sessions running from 10 AM to 2 PM. Participants must complete the application process, as well as pre-simulation and post-simulation exams, both consisting of MCQs. Preparation by studying the relevant procedures from Roberts and Hedges is required. 

Prior to participation, candidates must get approval for the procedures and the scheduled time. Additionally, they are required to sign a letter of declaration acknowledging the rules before entering the simulation room.

Location: WNC Ground Floor, Kottakkal MIMS.

Schedule: Operating hours: 10 AM to 2 PM (Monday to Friday).

Registration Process: apply via the online portal.

Exam and Certification:  MCQs before and after the simulation.

Certification is provided after passing both exams.

Fees: Candidates are responsible for covering expenses related to the procedures, such as PPEs, needles, and the certificate.
